A Meta-Search Engine is a search engine that searches other search engines. For example, a meta-search engine submits a query (search term) to numerous other search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing etc…), and returns a summary of the results. Essentially, meta-search queries a combination of a variety of search engines simultaneously -thus leading to a much more refined and optimised search result.
