The Cavendish London Hotel on Jermyn Street launched their #ValentineVine competition last week and its proving to be a great success for them so far.
The competition which is being promoted via Facebook and Twitter is focused around a new social media app know as Vine. This newly launched APP which was designed as a ‘Twitter for video content’ has got off to a great start.
‘VINE’ allows you to record 6 seconds of video, upload it and share via other social media platforms such as Facebook or twitter.
Here is a little bit about the Social Media Journey so far from Neil Braude, General Manager at the Cavendish London.
“The Cavendish London started its Social Media journey in 2009 with Facebook and Twitter. Since then we have organically grown Facebook to nearly 5k Fans, Twitter to 3.5k followers and we continuing to grow through blogging, TripAdvisor, Pinterest, Storify, Google+, Instagram and now Vine.
These channels have been very successful for us and continue to reinforce our customer service beyond the walls of our hotel. We are responding to how people are communicating and use the channels as tools to enhance customer experience such as giving directions through twitter to guests on the move and drawing and measuring cupboards for foreign guests through facebook.
We wanted to be an early adopter with Vine and for our Social Media supporters to have some fun with an App that is free, easy to use and creative. It will be interesting to see how many entries we receive and we are really looking forward to viewing what entrants can create in just 6 seconds.”
