Google Maps Introduces Business Interiors in Street View

Google is taking its Street View feature indoors. The company announced last May it would be taking interior shots of stores, but now it is moving out of its pilot phase with more 360 degree interiors cropping up online.

The importance of the 3F’s (friends, fans, and followers) does not lie in the initial conversion from consumer to connected consumer. Counting numbers as a metric here isn’t helpful or usefull. In fact, it’s misleading and potentially distracts any business from long-term success. The value in the connection is in understanding not only why a conversion took place, but learning about expectations and also studying behavior and preferences to deliver against them in social networks and in the real world.

Google Adwords Redesign Looks Beyond Keywords

Google is about to take what it calls “a whole new approach” to search advertising, the foundation of its massive revenues. Google is announcing an alternative, which it calls Dynamic Search Ads. Traditionally, an advertiser will create a campaign by bidding to run ads alongside specific keyword searches. With the new product, advertisers just point AdWords toward the pages that they want to promote. Then Google matches the ad with the best searches and generates an appropriate headline.
